From Lucidspark’s Facilitator Panel, you can access key Facilitator Tools such as the laser pointer for drawing attention to specific content on your board, take the lead for guiding participants around the board, and broadcast for sending a message to all participants on the board. Facilitator Controls include the timer, voting, private mode, the ability to show authors on sticky notes, and the option to lock or hide objects.

A virtual whiteboard provides a shared space where team members can ideate and plan from anywhere. In Lucidspark, meeting facilitators can use pre-made templates to guide the ideation and planning processes, including the creation of visuals such as a SWOT analysis or strategy goal map. They can also create breakout boards to support smaller group discussions and Visual Activities to prioritize ideas and gauge alignment. Beyond the ability to add sticky notes in Lucidspark, participants can share feedback using emoji reactions and comments. They can also use AI in Lucidspark to generate, sort, and summarize ideas on the board. When it’s time to move from ideation to planning, Lucidspark provides a variety of planning tools, such as Timelines, Dynamic Tables, the ability to assign tasks, and integrations with leading project and task management systems. At the end of ideation and planning sessions, the virtual whiteboard provides automatic documentation of the sessions that can easily be shared with everyone involved.

Lucid integrates with over 100 apps that support varying levels of data syncing, data imports, and internal or external embeds. To sort brainstormed ideas using AI in Lucidspark, select six or more sticky notes on your board, click on the AI icon in the context menu, then select Sort ideas. Your sticky notes will then be sorted into categories. To summarize brainstormed ideas, follow the same steps, but select Summarize as the final step. A summary of your ideas will appear in a container on your board.

On an Enterprise account, any user with edit access to a board can apply content locking, which makes the entire board uneditable until the locked status is changed. While locked, collaborators can still add comments, share the board, copy the board, and present it. With other types of Lucid accounts, you can change collaborators’ sharing permissions to view only or view and comment, which will ensure that no changes are made to the content on your board.
